The Reno Zephyrs picked up a win at Elderberry Field, knocking off the Palm Springs Codgers, 2-1. Starting pitcher José Ojeda was an essential part of his team's success. Sozui Kimura got the save, the 2nd for him this season. The loss drops Palm Springs to 15-14.

The Zephyrs got a big at-bat from second baseman Griff Aspinwall. For the game, Aspinwall went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles. In the top of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 11th double of the season gave Reno a 1-0 lead.
