Bokors Lose Late, 7-6
The 7-6 Delaware win over Port-au-Prince was due in large part to José Contreras. The Diamonds third baseman hit 3 home runs, while scoring 4 times and driving in 5. Delaware reliever Rich Kinnult picked up the win, upping his record to 4-6. Bei Joe took the loss. With the win, the Diamonds have a record of 58-72.

When he came to bat in the bottom of the ninth, Armando Perales had a chance to end it. Port-au-Prince pitcher Bei Joe had other ideas. But with two outs, Perales hit a run-scoring single. The Diamonds had the win.

"Good win for us," said Contreras. "We'll lace up our cleats and go after the next one."
