Islanders Suffer 5-3 Setback
The Laval Islanders got a superb performance from pitcher Alex Tanton, but the Lodoss Spell Swords still won the game, 5-3. Tanton threw 6.0 innings allowing 2 runs. Lodoss is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 5th in 15 games.

Lodoss used a timely hit from Joo-seok Yi to get the win. The catcher stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Spell Swords ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"I warned the team before the game," losing manager Ken Tuttle told reporters, "that I'm wearing the same pair of undies until we win."
