Drillers Topple Camels, 8-6, as Rutledge Shines
The Medicine Hat Drillers beat the Brampton Camels by a score of 8-6. Medicine Hat designated hitter Rob Rutledge deserved the lion's share of the credit. Rutledge went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Drillers. Shunen Okubo got the win, improving to 2-1. He worked 5 innings, giving up 5 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 5. Picking up the save was Randall Green, his 5th.

Rutledge had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the fourth inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Drillers went on to win.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Rutledge, "and then get after it again."

The loss puts Brampton at 10-13.
