Big Day for Ch'ang as Islanders Down Drillers, 5-4
The Laval Islanders grabbed a win, 5-4, over the Medicine Hat Drillers at Medicine Hat Municipal Stadium. Laval right fielder Jong-suk Ch'ang went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Hisashi Ishii snagged the win in relief. In 3.1 innings, the left-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits. He's now 2-1 on the season. Even with the win, the Islanders have a dismal 8-22 record.

Ch'ang had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-0 fastball from MacKenzie Henderson, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Islanders a 5-3 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Ch'ang.

"Feels good to get the job done," Ch'ang said after the game.
