The Toronto Phantoms defeated the Laval Islanders, 8-4, at Phantoms Ballpark. Toronto shortstop Pol Knowles had a superb performance. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Oscar Jarrold, now 1-0, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 5 and walking 1. The current losing streak for Laval has reached 4 games.
Han-soo Yi, who is tied for 7th in the PCAL in stolen bases with 11, aided the Toronto cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the center fielder was 2-5 with 2 singles.
