The Sherwood Park Hoods topped the Brampton Camels, 4-2, in Pacific Alliance action at Ballpark of Brampton. The standout performance belonged to Sherwood Park pitcher and Camuy, Puerto Rico, native Jorge Cantú. Rubén Medina was called on to finish, recording his 11th save. After today's action, Sherwood Park sits at 19-21; Brampton slips to 20-20.
Sherwood Park used a timely hit from Rafael Boavida to get the win. The third baseman delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the seventh inning to put the Hoods on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We did a lot of things right," said Boavida.
