Streaking Crushers Win Another One, 2-1
|
Pitcher Lou Butler was rock solid in helping the Seoul Crushers beat the Medicine Hat Drillers, 2-1. Butler went 8.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 2. His record improves to 6-3. Seoul has an impressive 35-18 record.
Seoul used the timely hitting of Roberto López to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Crushers on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Runs were at a premium," said Seoul manager Gilberto Ruíz.
