Sandgnats Beat Aurora, 2-1
|
Crystal Lake right-hander António Cuevas helped his team edge Aurora by the score of 2-1. Cuevas kept the opposing lineup in check. The first-place Sandgnats now have a win-loss record of 17-16.
Pedro Flores was the walk-off hero for Crystal Lake. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Sandgnats left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," Cuevas told the Crystal Lake Times.
