Pedro Macías was a vital contributor to the 6-3 Aurora victory over Toyama. The Borealis third baseman went 3-4 with 3 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Getting the save was Héctor Gutiérrez, his 6th. Aurora now has a 3-game win streak.
Rubén Ortega was 1-4 with a double for Aurora. The 28-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Daniel Hernández. It was his 14th RBI of the season.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Ortega told the Aurora Bulletin. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
