A 3-RBI performance from third baseman Richard Carpenter led the Nassau Vulcans to a win over the Drumright Tornadoes, 14-13. Dave Mullins, now 1-0, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 1. Nassau goes to 12-11.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With one out, Carpenter hit a curveball from Luis Valéncia for a run-scoring single. The Vulcans, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"They're fun to watch and the hitters get to pad their stats but nobody's really happy about a game like that," Nassau manager Toby Brown. "I promise you I'm not happy."
