Rapid City Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The Bismarck Battleships got a superb performance from shortstop Jorge Fernández, but the Rapid City Rushmores still won the game, 4-3. Fernández was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times. Rapid City pitcher Phil Hannay got the win, upping his record to 2-5. Alberto Torres got the loss. The Rushmores raised their record to 18-27.

Rapid City won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With two outs and Alberto Torres on the mound for Bismarck, right fielder Sergio Rivera hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Rushmores fans to their feet.

Rivera called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
