Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Rushmores
The Rapid City Rushmores overcame a fine performance by Portsmouth left fielder Edward Allen to defeat the Dockhands, 7-6, at Ship Yard. Allen went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Rapid City reliever Sandro Cuevas picked up the win, upping his record to 1-4. Orlando Hernández shouldered the loss. Rapid City is 4th in the Amber Waves League Big Sky with a record of 21-29.

The critical at-bat for Rapid City came in the top of the ninth inning. With two out, Kichisaburo Kudo hit a run-scoring single, putting Rapid City up, 7-6.
