Maulers Lose By a Run at London, 2-1
|
José Hernández was in top form in a low-scoring contest between London and Manchester. The Underground right-hander helped his team beat the Maulers, 2-1. In 6.2 innings, Hernández surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Richard Higgins closed the game out for London, earning his 1st save.
Making an impact for London was Rocky Nichols. In the bottom of the third inning, the slugging first baseman had a run-scoring sacrifice fly to make the score 2-0, Underground.

The Underground, at 18-17, sit in 4th place in the Imperial League Trans Atlantic.
