Pioneers Fall to Moccasins, 5-2

Nampa and Fort Wayne duked it out and the Moccasins came out victorious.
The Nampa Moccasins defeated the Fort Wayne Pioneers, 5-2, in Amber Waves League action at Fort Wayne Park. Nampa pitcher Leo Gerber had a standout performance. Guo-qing Zhou, credited with the save, is now 1 for 1 in save opportunities.
Nampa used the bat of Júlio Ramírez to get the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Moccasins ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"You come to the ballpark to do your job and that's what I did today," Gerber told the Nampa Times.
With the win, the Moccasins improved to 38-32.
