Rushmores Defeat Macedonians, 4-2

Alexandria got a terrific game from third baseman Steve Sutton. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Rapid City, 4-2. Sutton was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs. Kevin Brickey nailed down his 4th save. Alexandria is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 7 in a row.
The Rushmores got an important contribution from catcher Robert Gerosa, who in the top of the fifth hit a fastball into center for a run-scoring double. It was his 13th double of the season and put the Rushmores ahead, 3-1.
Gerosa told a Rapid City Daily reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
