McCarver Dominates with Perfect Game
|
Jackson Hole Twin Titans starter Michael McCarver was as good as a pitcher can be today, as he hurled a perfect game against the Alexandria Macedonians.
In doing so, McCarver accomplished one of the most difficult feats in baseball and one that will put his name in the record books.
"I can tell you I've dreamed about a day like this," McCarver told the press after the game. "Now that I've done it, the feeling is even better."
In his splendid 4-0 victory at Jackson Hole Field, McCarver yielded no hits, walked none and had 6 strikeouts. In the historic outing he retired 27 successive batters.
This year McCarver has posted a 4-3 mark in 12 starts and has a 3.86 ERA.
