McCarver Shines in 5-0 Jackson Hole Win
|
Jackson Hole got a strong outing from Michael McCarver as the Twin Titans defeated the Rapid City Rushmores, 5-0, at Jackson Hole Field. McCarver went 8.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 9. His record improves to 5-3. The first-place Twin Titans improved to 75-31.
With Jackson Hole leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, McCarver hit a 2-run single off Rapid City hurler Sandro Cuevas. It was the 58th hit of the season for McCarver and put his team ahead, 3-0.
"Good win for us," said McCarver. "We'll strap it on and go after the next one."
