Rapid City Rushmores right-hander MacKenzie Henderson pitched a good game against the Alexandria Macedonians at Ballpark of Rapid City, leading his team to victory, 3-2. Gerard Scott got the save, his 4th in 4 chances. Rapid City's record now stands at 54-65, placing them third in the Amber Waves League Big Sky.
Bartholomeu Sastre had a big 3-run home run for the Rushmores in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Rapid City trailing 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Jeremy Baldwin and swatted a home run to right. It was his 11th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rushmores ahead, 3-2.
"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Alexandria manager Chi-ming Xian.
