Tijuana Gets 4-2 Win
|
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Tijuana Saguaros got the win.
Tijuana picked up a win at Shmoes Stadium, toppling the Mexicali Shmoes, 4-2. Pitcher Alistair Mana was one of the reasons the Saguaros triumphed. Luke Blakey was credited with the save for Tijuana, his 1st of the season.
Tijuana used the clutch hitting of Zong-ming Kun to capture the win. The designated hitter drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Saguaros the lead, 4-2. For the game, Kun had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Mana. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
With the win, Tijuana lifts its record to 5-4.
