Germán Cruises in Win Over Dragons
Opening day festivities have begun throughout the league. Fans of the Illinois Chiefs were eager to watch Ángelo Germán square off against Tony Romero of the visiting UAB Dragons. In the end, the Chiefs won the game, 16-0, with Ángelo Germán leading the way.

Germán delivered a quality start for Illinois. The 6' 2" left-hander allowed no earned runs on 4 hits over 8.2 innings of work.

"I thought we'd at least be more competitive," said losing manager Lawrence Hensley.
