The Houston Shastas defeated the Illinois Chiefs, 9-1, in United States Collegiate Baseball Association action at Chiefs Ballpark. Houston pitcher Alejandro Aguilera had a standout performance. Illinois now is 2-5.

The two teams provided some entertaining baseball for the Chiefs Ballpark crowd. Regardless of the outcome, a good time was had by all.

Aguilera told a Houston Chronicle reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
