Lucky Rodents Knock Off Puddings at Lucky Rodents Ballpark
|
The Minnesota Lucky Rodents and Rice Puddings played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.
In a well-pitched game between the Minnesota Lucky Rodents and the Rice Puddings, pitcher Gerardo Díaz was superb. The Minnesota right-hander helped his team win, 3-1. Díaz, now 1-2, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 6, walking 6, and allowing no runs.
William González, the Minnesota third baseman, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth inning to make the score 1-0, Lucky Rodents. For the game, González went 2-4 with 2 singles.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Minnesota manager Mason Cartwright. "It's usually not just one thing."
The Lucky Rodents' win now puts them at 5-6.
