Behind the hitting of Tom Poe, the Washington State Palouse Knights stopped the Central Florida Wicked Witches, 8-1. Poe went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Palouse Knights. Luis Valentín earned the win for Washington State. He lasted 5.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits, while striking out 1. With the win, he raised his record to 3-0. The third-place Palouse Knights improved to 9-4.

Poe had a key at-bat for Washington State early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and gave Washington State an early 3-0 lead.
