Travelers Stick Persians with 6-3 Loss
The USC Travelers topped the Michigan State Persians, 6-3, with youngster Jermaine Finley playing a key role. Finley went 1-1 with a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Travelers in the win. Picking up the win was António Reyna. He went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits. The right--hander struck out 2 and walked 1. Ken King recorded his 6th save for USC.

Finley had a timely hit for USC in the bottom of the sixth. With Michigan State trailing 3-2, he turned a first pitch cutter into a bases-clearing double. It was his 1st double of the season, making it 5-3, USC.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Finley.

The win gives USC a season record of 10-5.
