Scarlet Brutes Stop Unifiers, 3-1

Ohio State Scarlet Brutes starter Eddy Young worked his magic, as he helped his team defeat the Cincinnati Unifiers, 3-1. Young got the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 3 hits and walked 2 over 5.1 innings. Young allowed 1 run. Rich Roberts picked up the save, his 2nd.
Ohio State used a well-timed hit by Francisco Delvillar to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Scarlet Brutes ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Delvillar.
Ohio State, now 8-9, holds down 7th place in the Perfect 10 Conference.
