Lucky Rodents Cut Down Astronauts, 5-3
The 5-3 Minnesota win over Purdue was due largely to Tony Williams. The Lucky Rodents center fielder was 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Theodor Hengstenberg snagged the win in relief. In 3 innings, the right-hander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits. He's now 1-0 on the season. Minnesota is 4th in the Perfect 10 Conference with a record of 9-8.

With Minnesota leading 2-1 in the top of the seventh, Williams hit a fastball from Will Reid for a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Lucky Rodents ahead, 5-1.

Williams attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
