Fans got some free baseball at Astronauts Ballpark.

In a tight game between the Minnesota Lucky Rodents and the Purdue Astronauts, pitcher Brandon Wilson was terrific on the mound. The Minnesota right-hander helped his team to the 2-1 win. Minnesota reliever Víctor Lerma picked up the win to move to 1-0. Ray Serna suffered the loss.

Bob Hardy broke a 1-1 tie in the top of the 14th with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Lucky Rodents in front, 2-1. For the game, Hardy drove in one run.

"We didn't string enough hits together to win the game," said tight-lipped Purdue manager Ramón Rodríguez. "Obviously."

Minnesota is now riding a 3-game win streak.
