Right-hander Hamilton Wynn mesmerized the Illinois Chiefs while leading the Rice Puddings to a 4-0 victory. Wynn, the winner, moves to 3-0. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 1 walk.

The Puddings grabbed the lead in the top of the fourth. With no one out, Alex Ward hit a 2-run home run off Mauro Martínez, putting Rice in front, 3-0. For Ward, it was his 4th home run of the season.

"I guess we'll all be a happy family for at least one day," said Ward.

The victory gives Rice a record of 10-10.
