Seton Hall Rampage starter Miguel Alvarado kept the Central Florida Wicked Witches hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-0 win. Alvarado, the winner, moves to 3-1. He threw 6.2 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 1 walk. The Rampage raised their record to 9-12.
The Rampage got a big at-bat from right fielder Vicente Ortega. For the game, Ortega was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Seton Hall a 2-0 lead.
"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Seton Hall manager Leslie White.
