Unifiers Saddle Lucky Rodents with 5-2 Loss
|
Cincinnati Unifiers starter Hugh Steuart pitched a strong game against the Minnesota Lucky Rodents at Unifiers Ballpark, leading the Unifiers to victory, 5-2. Joe Johnston snagged the win in relief. In 2.2 innings, the right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits. He's now 1-0 on the season. Stanton Green was credited with the save for Cincinnati, his 2nd of the season.
Jorge Martínez had a productive at-bat for the Unifiers with two out in the bottom of the sixth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, the right fielder hit a 2-run double. The at-bat was important in the Cincinnati win.
"I like our mindset right now," said Cincinnati manager Jesús Ávila.
At 11-10, the Unifiers are currently second in the Eastern Seaboard Conference.
