5 Straight Wins for Unifiers
The Cincinnati Unifiers topped the Minnesota Lucky Rodents, 2-1, in United States Collegiate Baseball Association action at Unifiers Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Cincinnati pitcher and Independence, Missouri, native Ricardo Rodríguez. The win belongs to Martin McHutchen in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Dave Jackson took the loss for Minnesota. Cincinnati is first in the Eastern Seaboard Conference with a record of 12-10.

When he came to bat in the bottom of the tenth, Marvin Cook had a chance to be the hero. Minnesota pitcher Dave Jackson had other ideas. But with one out, Cook hit a run-scoring single. The Unifiers had themselves a dramatic win.

"The vibe's good," said Cincinnati manager Jesús Ávila. "We've got to keep it going."
