Astronauts Win Nail-Biter
Purdue Astronauts starter John Christian turned in a sterling performance against the Illinois Chiefs, leading his team to a slim 2-1 win. Will Reid, credited with the win, is now 2-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit. Purdue has a record of 12-14, placing them 6th in the Perfect 10 Conference.

The Astronauts relied on third baseman Jeff Cooley for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 13th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"This place was rockin'," Christian said.
