Kaisers Score Late to Upend Persians, 6-5
The St. John's Kaisers dealt the Michigan State Persians a 6-5 loss at Persians Ballpark. Vince Kennedy was the star on offense. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs. Don Chandler recorded the save for St. John's, his 4th of the season. The loss makes Michigan State 18-9.

St. John's used the timely hitting of Daniel Parker to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Kaisers on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Nice to get this one," said Kennedy. "Wins have been hard to come by."
