Villanova Topples Central Florida, 5-1

The home crowd had a good time watching the Central Florida Wicked Witches and Villanova Starbursts get after it.
Villanova Starbursts pitcher Ramón Bañuelos was in fine form, leading his team past the Central Florida Wicked Witches, 5-1. Bañuelos picked up the win for Villanova, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 1-4.
The Starbursts got an important contribution from shortstop Lorne Dalton, who in the bottom of the first punched a 2-1 fastball into left-center for a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Starbursts ahead, 3-0.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Villanova manager Bill Hill.
With the win, Villanova goes to 18-14, while the Wicked Witches fall to 11-21.
