Central Florida and USC duked it out and the Wicked Witches came out victorious.

The Central Florida Wicked Witches withstood an impressive performance by USC shortstop Carson Bean to defeat the Travelers, 6-3, at USC Grounds. Bean went 2 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Picking up the win was Robbie Talley. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits. The left--hander struck out 4 and walked 0. Troy Stewart closed it out for his 1st save.

The Wicked Witches got a big at-bat from second baseman Floyd MacRorie. For the game, MacRorie went 1 for 4 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Central Florida a 2-0 lead.

MacRorie called the win "a collective effort."

The loss makes USC 18-17.
