Persians Handle High Fives, 1-0

The Michigan State Persians and Louisville High Fives put on a pitchers' duel.
The Michigan State Persians got a strong performance from pitcher Jake Wise, who stymied the Louisville offense en route to a win, 1-0, at Field of the High Fives. Jacob Snyder locked down his 11th save.
Michigan State relied on the bat of Greg Ames to get the win. The center fielder ripped a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Persians ahead, 1-0. For the game, Ames had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"I just try to put up zeroes," said Wise, "and let the rest take care of itself."
Michigan State raised its record to 25-13 with the win.
