Marshall McConaugheys starter Neil Taylor turned in a top-notch performance against the Minnesota Lucky Rodents at Lucky Rodents Ballpark. The result was a win for the McConaugheys, 6-0. At 25-16, Marshall is in first place in the American Heartland Conference.

Curt Thompson made an early impact for Marshall when he stroked his 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came with two out in the top of the third, put the McConaugheys on top, 3-0.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Thompson told the Marshall Observer.
