Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Badgers
|
Jimmy Bradford was a major contributor to the 5-3 Kalamazoo win over Reno. The Badgers shortstop was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Kalamazoo reliever Adam Geake picked up the win, while Anthony Soame took the loss for Reno. Kalamazoo currently is in second place in the Sovereign League Great Lakes at 28-23.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Kalamazoo trailing 3-2, Bradford hit a changeup from Anthony Soame for a 3-run home run, giving the Badgers the walk-off win.
Bradford said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
