The El Ray Vampiros picked up a win at Vampiros Ballpark, knocking off the Ciudad Acuna Mariachis, 4-3. On the mound for El Ray was right-hander António Lima, who played a pivotal role in the win. Arturo Luna collected his 1st save. Ciudad Acuna is 8-13 after the loss.

Making an impact for the home team was Alonso Martínez. In the bottom of the fourth, the 26-year old center fielder had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. That made the score 3-1, Vampiros.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Ciudad Acuna manager Dave Long. "But we decided not to take it."
