The Yuma Arroyos topped the Palm Springs Codgers, 5-2, in Sovereign League action at Elderberry Field. The standout performance belonged to Yuma pitcher and Kaohsiung, Taiwan, native Shan-bo Zheng. Joe Hollins earned the save for Yuma, his 7th of the year. Yuma occupies 5th place in the Sovereign League Desert Hills at 20-31.

Yuma used the bat of António Hernández to capture the win. The catcher jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Arroyos ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

"I'm glad we can make our fans happy with a win," Zheng told the Yuma Chronicle.
