Maulers Get 8-2 Win Versus West Virginia
Manchester picked up a win at Whiten Field, toppling the West Virginia Alleghenies, 8-2. Pitcher Derek Valera was one of the reasons the Maulers triumphed. The winning pitcher was Valera, now 14-8. He tossed 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 7. Manchester occupies third place in the Imperial League Seaboard at 61-68.

The Maulers grabbed the lead in the bottom of the seventh. With one out, Donald Horne, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2035 draft, hit a 3-run home run off José López, putting Manchester in front, 8-2. For Horne, it was his 11th home run of the season.

"Where are all my critics now?" said Horne. "Tell them they know where to find me."
