Spell Swords Shut Out Fubuki, 3-0

Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Lodoss Spell Swords take on the Toyohira Fubuki.
Takahashi Sanu never let Toyohira get something going. The Lodoss right-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Spell Swords to a 3-0 win. Manny Alonso recorded his 15th save for Lodoss.
The Spell Swords got a big at-bat from first baseman Jian-guo Niu. For the game, Niu was 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Lodoss a 2-0 lead.
Sanu said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
With the win, the Spell Swords improved to 22-40.
