Late Rally by Loggers Seals 4th Straight Win
|
Boise got a terrific performance from pitcher José Ortíz, but it wasn't enough to beat the Tacoma Loggers. Tacoma won the Tacoma Stadium contest, 3-2. Ortíz threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Tacoma is 5th in the Humboldt with a record of 15-26.
Keishi Yamashita was the walk-off hero for Tacoma. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Loggers pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"A great team win and something real positive we can build on," said Yamashita after the game.
