Tacoma right-hander Pat Willis pitched his team to victory over the Sacramento Deltas at Devils Ballpark. The final score was 3-2. Tacoma is 5th in the Humboldt with a record of 17-26.

The Deltas had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Loggers going into the top of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old left fielder Keishi Yamashita came to the plate. Yamashita hit a run-scoring double on a first pitch fastball from Sacramento hurler Katsuyuki Daisen. It was Yamashita's 5th double of the year.

"Anytime we get it going, it puts a smile on my face," said Yamashita.
