The Niihama-shi Ghosts weathered an outstanding game by Toyama right fielder Juan Aguilera to topple the Wind Dancers, 8-6. Aguilera went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Niihama-shi reliever Matthew Craigie picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Sa-yoor Ch'oe was saddled with the loss. Earl Lucas earned the save for Niihama-shi, his 30th of the year.

Niihama-shi used the bat of Harold Stowe to get the win. The right fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Ghosts ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Stowe. "I just want to win ballgames."

The Ghosts, at 80-50, lead by one game in their division.
