The London Underground and Havana Leones completed their game despite the rain.
The London Underground topped the Havana Leones, 4-1, in Imperial League action at Campos Peloteros. The standout performance belonged to London pitcher and Santiago, Chile, native Raúl Cruz. Jorge Ruíz recorded the save for London, his 10th of the season.
The Leones had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Underground going into the top of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 27-year old second baseman Miguel Fernández came to the plate. Fernández hit a 2-run home run on a 1-0 fastball from Havana hurler Meiji Ishikawa. It was Fernández's 7th home run of the year.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Cruz.
The second-place Underground raised their record to 35-21.
