Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Badgers
|
Kalamazoo pitcher Tetsui Suzuki did his part in helping his team beat the Bakersfield Bears, 5-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Jesús Carlos recorded his 12th save for Kalamazoo. Kalamazoo has now won 3 in a row.
Kalamazoo needed the clutch hitting of Ernie Jordan to notch the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Badgers on top, 5-3. For the game, Jordan had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Kalamazoo manager José Guillén.
