Deltas Thrill Fans with 4-3 Win
|
The Sacramento Deltas faced a tough opponent in Tacoma pitcher Frank Ridell, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Devils Ballpark by a final score of 4-3. Ridell went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. The win belongs to Félix González in relief. His record improves to 2-5. Jesús Solís took the loss for Tacoma. The third-place Deltas go to 41-33.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Sacramento trailing 3-1, Gelana Naybet hit a fastball from Jesús Solís to right-center for a bases-clearing double. Just like that, the Deltas had a walk-off win.
"Good win for us," said Naybet. "We'll strap it on and go after the next one."
