Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Zapopan Torrenas and Leon Zapateros.

António Salazar pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Leon Zapateros, despite Salazar's fine outing, dropped a 3-2 decision to the Zapopan Torrenas at Torrenas Ballpark. The 6th-place Torrenas sport a record of 20-20.

Juan Jose Montoya, who finished 3rd in the ABSF-MEX AAA in RBI with 71 last year, helped out the Zapopan cause in the bottom of the eighth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the first baseman was 2 for 2 with 2 singles and a walk.

Montoya attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
